In April 2024, I had the opportunity to experience the Turkish Riviera on a varied study trip. This region is a fascinating mix of culture, nature and modern hotels - a combination that made a lasting impression on me. From ancient sites to gorgeous hotels, the trip was packed with highlights that I would like to share.

Our trip started in Antalya, where we immersed ourselves in the beauty of nature as soon as we landed: Kursunlu Waterfall with its turquoise water was a great start and immediately showed us how diverse this region is. We then went to the Sherwood Exclusive Kemer, which is located in the middle of a green oasis. In addition to the hotel complex, I was particularly impressed by the excellent service. The staff were extremely attentive and made sure that we felt completely at ease - a perfect start to the trip.

A highlight of the trip was the visit to the ancient city of Side. The impressive amphitheater and the Temple of Apollo brought the history of the region to life. It was very fascinating to explore the ruins.

Of course, there were also numerous hotel visits on the program. I was particularly impressed by three hotels that I can recommend to everyone:

  • Paloma Finesse: Modern, stylish and with service that leaves nothing to be desired. The resort impresses with its spacious, clean beach and fresh, varied food. I particularly liked the beach bar - the perfect place for relaxed evenings. And of course I didn't miss the opportunity to enjoy the clear sea water right in front of the hotel.
  • NG Phaselis Bay: This hotel is located in a beautiful bay and combines modern design with nature. The stylish lobby and reception are particularly impressive, creating an inviting first impression with their elegant design. The rooms, most of which offer a fantastic view of the sea, ensure a stay with a wow effect.
  • Balmy Beach Resort: I was immediately impressed by the boho style of the resort - a casual yet sophisticated design that perfectly matches the relaxed atmosphere. As an adults-only hotel, it is the ideal choice for couples or anyone looking for a quiet break by the sea.

In addition to the hotels, I was also impressed by the culinary diversity of the region. My favorite dish? Definitely the lahmacun! This Turkish flatbread with a spicy topping is simply a delight - it tastes best fresh from the oven. Whether at a street food stall or in a hotel restaurant, Turkish cuisine accompanied me throughout the trip and surprised me time and time again.

Finally, a trip to Antalya was a must. The historic old town with its winding alleyways and the boat trip along the coast were a wonderful way to end the trip. The view of the crystal-clear water and the impressive cliffs is an image that I will certainly not forget in a hurry.

This study trip showed me how diverse the Turkish Riviera is - from historical treasures to first-class hotels and delicious food. It's a region that offers something for everyone and has inspired me in every respect.
